If you can attend every morning for 3 hours, and have learned Japanese for just a several months or less, you can learn Japanese in this intensive course. Credits cannot be given in this course. Read information here.
If you would like to take Japanese class(es) once or twice (or more) in a week, you can join Japanese for graduate students (HOKO). Some of them are subjects at graduate school. Therefore credits can be given after you complete these classes.
We have various classes at 6 proficiency levels. Please read the explanations carefully and decide the class(es) you take.

YSEPers and short-term exchange students can take classes of Japanese for graduate students( HOKO) and credits can be given after you complete the class. Ask the coordinator of your course about the application procedure.

The researchers and international faculty staffs can join these Japanese classes. But, please note, the priority is given to the students. The researchers and faculty staffs can be registered to the class as long as the number of the students of the class is lower than the limit (around 18 students).

Because there are so many students would like to join our Japanese classes, we are not able to accept the family of students, researchers, and faculty staffs. But the volunteers' Japanese classes accept them. Please ask information about these volunteers' classes to the reception of International Student Center.
